Here’s a step-by-step recipe for Fish Biryani using Orgo Fish Biryani Masala:
Ingredients:
For the Fish:
•Fish (firm fillets): 500 grams (Kingfish, Seer fish, or Pomfret)
•Orgo Fish Biryani Masala: 2 tablespoons
•Turmeric powder: ¼ teaspoon
•Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
•Salt: to taste
•Oil: for shallow frying
For the Rice:
•Basmati rice: 2 cups
•Water: 4 cups
•Whole spices: 2 bay leaves, 4-5 cloves, 3-4 cardamom pods, 1 cinnamon stick
•Salt: to taste
For the Masala:
•Onions: 3 medium, thinly sliced
•Tomatoes: 2 medium, finely chopped
•Green chilies: 2, slit
•Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tablespoon
•Yogurt (curd): ½ cup
•Mint leaves: a handful, chopped
•Coriander leaves: a handful, chopped
•Orgo Fish Biryani Masala: 2 tablespoons
•Ghee: 2 tablespoons
•Oil: 2 tablespoons
Optional Garnish:
•Fried onions: a handful
•Saffron strands: soaked in 2 tablespoons warm milk
Cooking Method:
1. Marinate and Fry the Fish:
1.Clean the fish fillets and pat them dry.
2.Marinate the fish with Orgo Fish Biryani Masala, turmeric powder, lemon juice, and salt. Set aside for 20-30 minutes.
3.Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the marinated fish until golden and slightly crispy. Set aside.
2. Cook the Rice:
1.Wash and soak the basmati rice for 30 minutes.
2.Boil 4 cups of water with whole spices and salt.
3.Add the soaked rice and cook until it’s 70-80% done (grains should still be firm). Drain and set aside.
3. Prepare the Biryani Masala:
1.Heat oil and ghee in a large pan.
2.Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.

5.Repeat the layers if necessary, finishing with a rice layer on top.
5. Dum Cooking:
1.Cover the pot with a tight lid or seal with dough.
2.Cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes to let the flavors infuse.
